It doesn’t seem like that long ago that I was sniffing the fresh, new-baby scent from the scalp of my oldest. Now, I am scalp-sniffing my last, who is no longer fresh and new. I can’t help but linger, still taking in the smell of her sweet little head.
Although I love each of my kids equally, I find myself holding on to each moment and each phase of life a little longer with my youngest.
Because she is my last.

I am not religious. That’s right, I said it. I don’t identify myself as religious, however I am definitely not Atheist either.
So what does that mean?
When someone asks me what my beliefs are, it’s not easy to answer. I don’t say, “I’m (fill in the blank)” and them just understand what that means. I have to literally explain what I believe. I’m often left feeling like I just made something up on the spot after I’m done explaining. It feels as though I need to be part of an organized religion for my beliefs to be taken seriously.
